Hello, I’m Brett Slowinski and I just so happen to be the Commander in Chief of this club. I’m a 4th year business student concentrating in accounting and spent most of my life growing up in the SLO area. The first anime I recall watching was DBZ Kai in 3rd grade, though it unfortunately wouldn’t be the last given my current position. All jokes aside, I swear I’m a functioning member of society outside of this club who enjoys many hobbies such as vinyl record collecting, stargazing with my telescope (feat. the cal poly astronomy club), hammocking, playing video games and going to Grateful Dead concerts.

When it comes to anime, I tend to favor those with action, psychological elements, mysteries, memorable characters, and interesting settings. Some of my favorite series are as follows:

Favorite Anime: Trigun, Gintama, One Piece, Casshern Sins, Ranking of Kings, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, Legend of the Galactic Heroes, Bleach, Re: Zero, Full Metal Alchemist Brootherhood and 91 Days.

Favorite Manga: Vinland Saga, Kingdom, Steel Ball Run, Akametsu, D.Gray-man, One Piece, Blue Lock, Gachiakuta, and Golden Kamuy.

Favorite Manhua/Webtoons: Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint, Solo Leveling, Gosu (The Master), SSS. Class Suicide Hunter, Dimensional Mercenary, and Legend of the Northern Blade.

Hi everyone, my name is Emily Wong, I’m the secretary of Minna No Anime for the 2023-2024 academic year. I will be a third year majoring in computer science. I watch many different genres of anime and animations. Some of my favorite things besides watching anime are cooking, eating food, taking pictures of food, exploring places in downtown SLO and doing activities with friends. I'm Tomas Ludin, Minna no Anime's current webmaster. When it comes to anime I generally enjoy well animated shows with cool character designs. My favorite show is Ninja Slayer: From Animation (Dub).

Outside of anime I have many hobbies that I enjoy. Such as film, getting lost, and have lately been getting into fashion. I really enjoy the works of Sono Sion, Anno Hideaki, Damien Chazelle, and also S. S. Rajamouli. If you know who any of those people are then we will probably have a good amount to talk about.

My name is Ava Sabella; your Scribe. I am a third year Environmental Management and Protection student with a Wildlife Biology Concentration and 2 minors. My hobbies include reading, hiking, studying zoology, art, and being in too many fandoms. Hey everyone my name is Isai. I’m originally from Sacramento where I graduated from a community college while in high school. This year will be my second year at Cal Poly studying Aerospace Engineering. My interest in aviation began when I was in high school. I have two of my pilots licenses (gliders and single engine land), and will be pursuing my instrument rating this year.

I spend most of my time watching vtubers. I am a huge Hololive fan, and my favorites are Ninomae Ina’nis, Kaela Kovalskia, and Nachoneko. I do play a couple games and like to watch anime. My favorite games are probably first person shooters. Over the summer and during the school year I played a lot of COD zombies and Splatoon 3. You may hear people say that I am good at Super Smash Bros, but I am honestly not that good. I don’t watch as much anime as I used to, but I’m starting to watch more over time.
